1:29 p.m. - 2009-07-17 Sex offendersMany of these people have already been convicted of a sexual crime, and released back into the streets after serving a few years in prison. Sometimes, sex offenders operate for years before they are ever caught. Sex offenders are potential threats to our family’s safety and well being. Predators, pedophiles, and child pornographers live in our streets every day. Stories about young boys having relations with school teachers are so common that it’s worrisome, but not all female sexual offenders are found in the classroom. Samantha Canada was charged with having a sexual relationship with a boy her family knew that is under the age of twelve years old. Wayne Ford was charged with first degree rape, among other charges, after he met a 21 year old woman online, came to her hotel room, and assaulted her. The majority of sex offenders are men, but this is not always the case. Notorious sexual predator, Joseph Molitor, plead guilty to five charges involving illegal sexual activity, and indecent behavior, with six young girls. Not all sex offenders target young children. Many registered sex offenders have been convicted of various unlawful sexual acts with adult women as well. This sexual predator, and pedophile, was active for eleven years before he was caught. Certain kinds of sex offenders never make themselves known, even to their victims. Someone addicted to child pornography can hide behind their computers, and watch the neighborhood from behind a window. Convicted felon, William Enright, was caught with literally hundreds of pornographic images depicting young children when the authorities arrested him. 0 comments
